Another great salmon season in the books!!

As I sit here in late fall and look back at all the should have been blog posts that I did not enter I do better. I say every year, that I will be better at updating the blog but I never do, sorry about that! It has been a while so here is a quick recap of the summer. After a great spring catching Lake Chelan and Lake Roosevelt Kokanee and Moses Lake and Banks lake walleye we turned our attention to salmon.

For the first time since I have been guiding the Icicle river wasn't open for spring chinook so that was a bummer! We are hoping and expecting a better return of fish and a return to great seasons on that for 2018! Sockeye was a bust also for Lake Wenatchee as well as the Brewster sockeye fishery. But much like the spring chinook we are anticipating a strong return for 2018.

Here is the good news though!! The summer chinook fishing was off the hook good! It was very good fishing at Chelan Falls for summer run chinook as well the other fisheries that we fish for summer kings, including Wells dam and Brewster. The king fishing fished very good right up until we start heading south to the Hanford Reach section in mid September for fall run kings. Our fall run king fishing started a bit slow but ended with a bang, finishing the season with 16 days straight of full boat limits! I will post a many pics as I can get away with in this blog.

Now as the weather cools we will be targeting Lake Chelan Kokanee then Lake Roosevelt trophy Kokanee as well as Banks Lake Walleye. Winter is a great time to target these fish as the crowds are non-existant and the fishing is great! Putting on a few extra clothes is a small price to pay for some of the best fishing of the year!  We will be fishing all winter as always and don't forget fishing Gift certificate for all your gift giving fun!
